As part of our ongoing schedule of improvements to Challenges we have today added inline commenting which is available via the 'Add new comment' button just below an Entry in a Challenge. Comments are shown in reverse date order (latest at the top) and without visible threading.
Once you click on the 'Add new comment' button you will be presented with a comment box, just complete the subject and your comment, click on Post and your message will be added immediately (note that all of the new formatting options are available and you get a live preview of your comment, just like in the forums).
Because we hate re-inventing the wheel and because it makes sense from an integration point of view we decided the best place for Entry comments was a new special discussion forum called 'Challenge Entry Comments', the bonus is that you can still get involved in comment threads on that forum (although as a special forum new threads can only be created via a Challenges commenting).

The comment feature on Challenge has been there for a while. However I find it that when memeber tries to comment on a photo, the forum gets cluttered.
May I suggest that a separate folder for "EACH Challenge" be made instead of a single thread for each Challenge entry photo? This will just give a much organized look.
So if an member wants to see if someone had made a comment to his/her entry he can just look at the "challenge Theme first" then scan through similar challenge theme and not go through tons of other themes.

Hello.. This is a great idea. Just to add up, most of the blog site that has this "comment button" are not actually replying to those who post a comment.. A lot of questions are actually not answered and leave the blog undone.. So Hope this site was not one of them, for a those visitors who really loves to leave a comment they're also like to received a reply as well...That's what i notice.. So hope to read more feedback from you guys. Thanks..
